UV-Gun Mounting Kit

The UV-GUN MOUNTING KIT is an accesory for the SCANGRIP WHEEL STAND made for flexible positioning of the UV-GUN.

Even though curing by the UV-GUN is carried out very fast in only a minute’s time, it is ergonomically uncomfortable and hard to hold the device in your hand throughout an entire working day. Fixed to the wheel stand, the curing can be carried out automatically and the operator can spend his time doing other things. In this way the working efficiency is increased remarkably in the collision repair and refinish workshop. At the same time, improved ergonomics are taken into account.

The flexible arm is sturdy and durable and made of powder coated steel and glass fiber reinforced nylon, whereas the couplers are made of anodized aluminum.

The arm can either be mounted to the top of the wheel stand or to the center bar with the quick-connection half couplers (ø35-48 mm / ø1.2 -1.6 ft).

Thus, the UV-GUN can be positioned in the height from 30-195 cm / 1-6.4 ft. Fixed in the end coupler, the UV-GUN can be rotated 360 degrees to obtain optimum curing angle. Sideways, the arm is extendable from 82-135 cm / 2.7-4.4 ft.

To optain maximum stability a sandbag is included tailored to fit the base of the wheel stand. The weight of the sandbag provides a low center of gravity and acts as counterweight to prevent tipping. The sandbag can hold up to 25 kg / 55.12 lb.
